The choroid plexus is a nerve complex in the brain that projects into the side of the lateral ventricle through a cleft called the choroid fissure. The portion of the choroid plexus in the central part of the lateral ventricle consists of minute tufts of blood vessels and neurons called the tela choroidea of the third ventricle.
