Isabel Urdaneta, MD, is a resident urologist and a member of the Innerbody Research Medical Review Board.
Currently a third-year urology resident, Dr. Urdaneta serves as chief of residents at the Urology Teaching Institute in Valencia, Venezuela. Her primary focuses at this time are issues of male infertility and endourological management of benign prostatic hyperplasia. In her career thus far, Dr. Urdaneta has also conducted research and presented her experience to the Venezuelan Urology Society on several subjects, including the surgical management of bladder endometriosis and the minimally invasive management of the double collecting system in pediatric patients.
Dr. Urdaneta obtained her MD from the University of Zulia School of Medicine, where she graduated third in her class, receiving the merit of Magna Cum Laude. Later, in 2021, she graduated at the same university as a general surgeon and became chief of residents and president of the Resident and Interns Association of the Maracaibo University Hospital.
